'Civilization 6' Adds Australia in Country Roster; DLC to Introduce Steam Workshop Support
Louise Bonquin"Civilization 6" is adding Australia in its roster soon. It was announce that it will be under the leadership of John Curtin, the 14th Prime Minister who served the land Down Under from 1941 to 1945. The PM was chosen to lead the country to help its citizens to survive and beat the other civs.
In "Civilization 6" Australia, players will have the chance to put up outback stations within the sprawling six million acres of Anna Creek Station. This size is seven times bigger than the largest cattle facility in the U.S. and the location will also have The Digger unit which represents the armed forces that defended Australia during World War I and II.
The Digger unit takes the place of the infantry squad and will have more power on land tiles situated next to water. Moreover, PC Gamer reported that the Australian downloadable content is arriving with new ability called the "Land Down Under." Under this ability, the cities would be allowed to build more housing on coastal tiles.
According to Kotaku, "Civilization 6" Australia is going to be introduced as part of a premium DLC pack, just like how the civ Poland was launched in December 2016. However, this update is a bit special because together with the multiplayer mode, it will finally usher in the Steam Workshop support to the game.
As for "Civilization 6" Australian DLC release date, nothing has been confirmed yet. But reports stated that it could hit the market some time during the summer. Most probably, it will be around the same time as the "Australian Summer 2017 Update."
How much the game will retail is not yet known as well, but other details about it is already available on Steam Community site. "Civilization 6" is another game developed by Firaxis Games with 2K Games serving as its publisher. Take-Two Interactive has been assigned to distribute the game to various PC platforms.
