Nintendo Switch is all set to open for mass commercial production and launch in the coming month. Recently, the Pro Controller's battery life was revealed by the gaming company. Through this announcement, Nintendo scores a huge victory over its rivals including PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

What could be the possible battery life of this portable console? How was it able to defeat its competitors in this segment? According to a leaked image of the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller package, the battery of the device can last up to a whopping 40 hours. It can do so with only a single charge with the USB Cable. Well, it is true that this is only half of the battery life offered by Nintendo Wii U Pro Controller, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller scores high compared to its contemporaries.

Wii U Pro Controller gives over 80 hours of battery life. PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 only clocks in at 7 hours. However, Xbox One controller is still trying to give Nintendo Switch a tough competition by providing battery life of 30 hours (almost). The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, apart from its excellent battery life in the current times, also boasts of motion controls. Not just this, it also provides for HD rumble and built-in amiibo functionality and even more! The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller will definitely come in handy during long gaming marathons.

Players can engage in these multiplayer sessions with up to 10 different consoles. "In addition to this, a new feature called LAN Play will be added to Splatoon 2, allowing up to 10 docked systems - eight players and two spectators - to connect via wired LAN," revealed Nintendo in a press statement.

"This feature allows players to create local Private Battle tournaments without the need for an internet connection. "Local wireless play is perfect for your regular gaming get-togethers, but LAN Play is where it's at when you want to organize a serious tournament event with your fellow players."
