Vinay PatelSony is gearing up to unveil an array of new devices at MWC 2017 on Monday, Feb. 27. One of the said devices is the 2017 variant of the Xperia X smartphone, which some sources dub as the Sony Xperia X2.
Amidst the unceasing hype surrounding Sony's Xperia X2 smartphone, an official press render of the highly anticipated device has surfaced online. Although the leaked image does not seem to shed light on the device's specs, it does divulge a few interesting bits about the next-generation Xperia smartphone.
If the leaked image is legit, Sony will be getting rid of its logo from the front panel in order to pave the way for the 2017 trend -- tiniest bezel displays. The screen boasts a curved glass on top and plus, there's a volume rocker along with the power button on the lower right side, GSM Arena reported.
Sony Xperia X2 Specs & Other Details
If rumors running rampant all over the internet are anything to go by, Sony might unveil five new smartphones in Barcelona on Monday. Two smartphones out of these will be mid-range devices powered most likely by MediaTek's Helio P20 SoC.
There's hearsay that the Sony Xperia X2 smartphone will boast a 5.5-inch 4K display with 802ppi (pixel per inch). A Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC will be firing up the device, which is expected to pack either 4GB or 6GB of RAM. Moreover, there's a possibility that the Japanese tech giant may debut its newfangled IMX400 camera sensor on the Xperia X2, according to Digit.
Other Devices Likely To Be Unveiled At MWC 2017
Not too long ago, a new Sony smartphone that many believed was the Xperia XA successor, made an appearance online. Powered by MediaTek's Helio P20 SoC, the device was rumored to come with 4GB of RAM and run on Android 7.0 Nougat. Furthermore, the purported Xperia XA successor was suggested to boast a mammoth 23MP primary camera and 16MP front shooter for the selfie addicts.
