'Halo 6' Latest News: Split Screen Comeback To Appease 'Halo' Fans, Statement Indicates Upcoming Formal Announcement!

"Halo" fans were displeased with the lack of split screen in "Halo 5". The game developers understood this quite well and have rectified their colossal mistake: "Halo 6" will reprise the split screen feature!

The splits screen feature from the "Halo" franchise was a much-appreciated one. So imagine the fans' surprise when "Halo 5" failed to keep up with the tradition. Microsoft and 343 Industries both faced a lot of flak for this modification and learned from their mistakes.

"Halo 6" is set to bring back the sacred feature. The news was confirmed by Bonnie Ross (Studio Head) at DICE 2017. DICE stands for Design, Innovate, Communicate, and Entertain and is aimed at new games and gamers. She referred to the previous move of dropping the split screen in "Halo 5" as "painful". "It erodes truth with the community," she noted.

"We have had a lot of learnings along the way. When we fell down with the multiplayer launch of 'MCC' or when we did not put split screen in with 'Halo 5', it was incredibly painful for the community and for us. I would say for any FPS going out forward we will always have a split screen going forward."

"Halo 6" is yet to receive an official announcement from developer 343 Industries but this news certainly indicates a formal announcement is on the way. The split screen multiplayer feature was removed from "Halo 5: Guardians" so that the developers could focus on a smooth 60 frames per second experience and boost visual appeal.

However, it is definitely uplifting to see 343 Industries listening to their fans and bringing a loved feature back. Have some thoughts on this announcement?
