"Pokemon GO" lovers and players have another reason to rejoice now. The fans can catch a new Pikachu and Niantic is already planning another huge "Pokemon GO" event. This is mere hours after the Pokemon Day event update went live on the servers. "Pokemon GO" won the 'Best Mobile Game' award at the DICE Awards recently. During the event, a development team member told the fans to save their in-game candy! As pointed out by experts and enthusiasts, this could be a teaser for another event which may earn fans double XP. They base this argument on a pattern that has been formed on the basis of previous events and rewards.

"Halloween (double candy) -> Thanksgiving (double xp) -> Christmas/New Year (Special. Santachu + increased Kanto starter spawn rate) -> Valentine's (double candy) -> ? Event (double xp) -> Easter (Special. Increased 10 km egg drop rate?", notes Redditor, The Silph Road.

Maybe there is another event lined up for St. Patrick's Day, right before the big Easter event. Also, the festive Pikachu is part of the limited Pokemon Day event that is currently live. The event started on February 26 and will continue until March 6. This event is to celebrate the release of the first Pokemon games in Japan and Pikachu is sporting a festive hat! "Pikachu is ready to lead the Pokémon Day celebration in Pokémon GO. From February 26 at 1 pm PST to March 6 at 1 pm PST (9 pm UK time), any Pikachu you encounter in the wild will be wearing a festive party hat," posted Niantic. "The Pikachu you catch during that time will keep its party hat forever, so be sure to look for this special Pikachu during its short time in the wild."
