'Minecraft Pocket Edition' Gets 'Fallout Mashup Pack' DLC for Android [VIDEO]
After having been released for the major consoles, the latest downloadable content (DLC) expansion pack for the hit open-world sandbox video game, "Minecraft," is finally now available for its mobile version. "Minecraft Pocket Edition" players on Android will now be able to purchase and download the last DLC pack, called the "Fallout Mashup Pack," onto their devices.
As the name suggests, the new DLC pack will be marrying together the fully sandbox world of "Minecraft" with the post-apocalyptic content from the hit "Fallout" video game franchise from Bethesda Softworks. "Fallout" fans will now be able to relive their greatest adventures in the wasteland right at the comfort of their smartphones.
According to Android Authority, the new DLC pack will be introducing a myriad of new textures that will allow players to build their own war-torn worlds that can mimic the bomb-blasted landscapes found within the various "Fallout" games. Intricate fallout shelters, called vaults, can also be constructed to further mimic the environments found in the game. Different settlements can also be built to house the different factions within the "Fallout" world.
The "Fallout Mashup Pack" DLC also brings with it a number of new characters and creatures, including mutants, two-headed cows, mutated scorpions, robots, ghouls, and several colorful characters from Bethesda's popular franchise. Players will also enjoy over 40 new character skins including heavy power armors, vault dweller overalls, legion outfits, and other costumes. To top it all off, the DLC also contains the original soundtrack from the "Fallout" franchise that should add the final touches to the decrepit landscapes.
The "Fallout Mashup Pack" DLC is currently now available to purchase from the game's in-game store for $5.99. Additionally, those who want to try out Bethesda's own mobile game, "Fallout Shelter," can download the simulation game for free on the Google Play Store.
