'Arknights: Endfield' - A Potential Dystopian Anime RPG Hit

'Arknights: Endfield' - A Potential Dystopian Anime RPG Hit

Austin Jay

This game is based on a mobile strategy title that got big called "Arknights." The developer behind it, Gryphline, wanted to try something different now.

They made a new game called "Arknights: Endfield," whose gameplay is like "Genshin Impact." That game was huge, and everyone loved it, even though it was only on phones and computers.

This new "Arknights" spin-off will also be their try at an action role-playing game. They hope it'll take off, similar to how "Genshin Impact" did. This title is expected to attract lots of attention the same way.

About the Game 'Arknights'

The original "Arknights" debuted on phones in 2019 before going worldwide in 2020. It's known as a gacha game, having a team with anime characters to fight enemies on maps like in a tower safeguard game.

Unlike many gacha games, "Arknights" stands out for its complex, grim future story and its relatively fair way of getting strong new units by playing. "Endfield," as a spin-off, takes the strategic core of the first game and turns it into an action RPG on the planet Talos-II, perhaps in the same universe as the original tale.

The battle mechanics are like "Genshin Impact," having four characters unleash elemental attacks on a team. However, unlike "Genshin," players control one character at a time while the remaining team members also fight alongside the controlled character.

Recommended Specs Needed and Other Features in Game

"Endfield" allows people to build factories to make things for their group, likely used to power up characters or summon new ones, similar to how "Arknights" lets you build places to create supplies.

While the makers of "Endfield" haven't given details, a test just for PCs starts January 10.

Anyone can join in if they have a computer that fits - Windows 10, an Intel Core i5 9400F/10600K or better, 16GB of RAM or more, a Nvidia GTX 1060/RTX 2060 Super graphics card, and 40GB of free space on their hard drive.

Although Gryphline has not said when "Endfield" will come out, the simple computer needs to show that many will be able to try it out when the PC test happens.

The international technical test registration period will close on December 23 at 7:59 PM PT. The test will have an English interface with Mandarin, Japanese, and English speech options.
