Rumors have been swirling about the forthcoming Vivo X100s' May presentation, with some speculating that it will come with a Dimensity 9300+ processor. MediaTek has formally declared that the 9300+ will be launched on May 7, laying the atmosphere for an explosive debut.

While Vivo isn't explicitly mentioned, unveiling the chipset raises the possibility that it may be released before the phone. By showcasing the new chipset's AI capabilities and hinting at an upcoming event with the theme "AI for Everything," MediaTek is advancing artificial intelligence significantly.

The Density 9300+ Unveiled

A recent leak revealed improvements from the original Dimensity 9300 to the Plus model. One notable improvement is higher CPU performance, with the main Cortex-X4 core now clocked at 3.4GHz instead of 3.25GHz. The four A720 cores run at 2.0GHz, while the remaining three X4 cores run at 2.85GHz.

The Dimensity 9300+ and the next Vivo X100s will prioritize AI capability. Vivo released demo photos that highlight the phone's capacity to apply generative AI to adjust seasonal aspects in photos, highlighting the chipset's aptitude for AI-driven tasks.

An AI Processing Unit (APU) is already present in the Dimensity 9300, but information regarding its improvements in the 9300+ is still limited. Nevertheless, given the conference's theme, it is fair to anticipate advances in CPU and AI processing capacity.

Innovation in AI Technology and Performance

At the MediaTek Dimensity 2023 Developer Conference, the main highlight was Dimensity 9200+, and this time, we will take the lead with Dimensity 9300+ as the center of the presentation in May 2024. In a favorable taste, many big mobile device manufacturers, including Oppo, Xiaomi, Vivo, etc., considered the previous series of MediaTek in the past scope. That means the future of the Dimensity series 9300+ is also promising.

Additionally, with the launching of the Dimensity 9300+, MediaTek will compete with its flagship chipset of the next generation, the Dimensity 9400. Not to be left behind, the Dimensity 9400, the next-gen device with remarkably high performance and power optimization, is anticipating a public release at the end of this year.

As it is the first chip utilizing the Cortex-X5 prime core architecture and its 3nm TSMC node, it is a milestone.

The eagerly awaited Vivo X100s teaser launching the new Dimensity 9300+ processor causes chip fever among phone enthusiasts. This phone is expected to have a flat AMOLED display, three 50MP rear cameras, and 125W fast charge. Even though the SoC is cited to power the X100s, the device can show the updated performance feature on May 7, meaning it has news about improvements in its performance.

The prime Cortex-X4 high-ticket CPU core in the Dimensity 9300+ is now clocked at 3.4GHz, compared to 3.25GHz in the Dimensity 9300, an essential aspect of this new chip. In contrast to the Dimensity 9300, three A7-X cores run at 2.1GHz, and two A70 cores run at 2.4GHz.

Consequently, the introduction of Dimensity 9300+, MediaTek's AI chip aimed at increasing performance and efficiency across multiple AI-driven applications, is evidence of its commitment to AI technology expansion in its chipsets. MediaTek Dimensity 9300+ paves a path for the future generation of AI smartphones, increasing capabilities and improving user experience to explore more avenues in AI technology.
