Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini, a smaller version of the hugely successful Galaxy S3, is expected to hit the U.K. shelves in November, per reports.
"The Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini will go on sale in the UK on 2 November according to an updated product page from unlocked-mobiles.com, which lists it with a suggested retail price of £295," reported ITProPortal.
Online retailers like Phones4U and Expanys have also announced that the Galaxy S3 smartphone's pricing and availability. Phones4U has indicated that the Galaxy S3 Mini will be released on Nov. 8; however, Samsung is yet to confirm the same. Consumers can now pre-order the Galaxy S3 Mini on-contract with O2, Orange, or Vodafone for a Nov. 8 delivery for plans that vary between £25 to £36 per month . Alternately, consumers have the option to buy the handset SIM-free. Expanys, on the other hand, is offering a SIM-free 8GB version of the Galaxy S3 Mini in Pebble Blue for £314.99. The smartphone is now available for pre-order.
Earlier, retailer Clove had revealed that it would be retailing the SIM-free 8GB versions of the handset in blue and white for a £249 (not including VAT).
UK carrier O2 has also disclosed that it will sell the Galaxy S3 Mini, which will be released in early November. However, O2 is yet to reveal the exact pricing and release date.
"The S3 Mini will be selling in the UK between £220-£250 for just the handset. If you want news of a great tariff deal on O2 then check back here for more information about what great deals you could get when you buy an O2 Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini," stated the O2 store webpage.
Carphone Warehouse too has the Galaxy S3 Mini up for pre-order and will deliver the device on Nov. 8. The smartphone is available on-contract for plans that range from £25 to £31 per month.
The pricing of the Galaxy S3 Mini is a little steep considering its sibling, the Galaxy S3, which packs in high-end features costs around £370 for a SIM-free version. Whether the Galaxy S3 Mini can repeat the Galaxy S3's success story remains to be seen, but judging by the high pricing its future does not look very promising.
