With a slew of new tablets and smartphones inundating the consumer market, potential buyers will be spoilt for choice this holiday season. U.S. carrier AT&T is making sure it makes the most of the holiday shopping frenzy by offering a $100 discount on any tablet purchased from its store or Web site, which includes Apples best-selling iPad.
The new discount will be applicable from Nov. 9 and customers who purchase a tablet from AT&T on a new two-year data plan contract will be entitled to the $100 waiver.
"Just in time for the holiday shopping season, AT&T* today announced it is offering a promotional discount to tablet customers. Beginning Friday, Nov. 9, customers will receive $100 off any tablet purchased at an AT&T company owned store or online at www.att.com or at selected agents or retailers with a two-year data plan agreement," stated the AT&T press release.
AT&T customers can choose from a host of "qualifying data plan options," which includes adding a tablet to the carrier's Mobile Share plan for as little as $10per month.
"AT&T has the widest variety of tablets and a broad choice of data plans to pick from" said David Christopher, Chief Marketing Officer, AT&T. "With this new promotional discount for any tablet we sell, we're giving our customers even more reason to stock up on the hottest device of the season, and just in time for the holidays"
The tablets available on the carrier include the iPad, Samsung ATIV smart PC, and Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 to name a few. To check out all the tablets AT&T offers (including Web only specials), users can check here.
AT&T has not given any indications as to when the "promotional discount" would end, but said "while promotional supplies last." Additionally, customers are limited only to two tablet purchases per account.
