Google released the Nexus 4 on Nov. 13 and has already sold out stocks in the U.S. and the UK. HTC is a well-known smartphone brand in the industry and its top-end HTC One X+ smartphone may face stiff competition from the newly introduced Nexus 4.
Here is a round-up of the specifications and the features of both the smartphones.
Processor
A powerful NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor clocked at 1.7 GHz powers the HTC One X+. On the other hand, a Qualcomm APQ8064 Snapdragon quad-core processor, which is clocked at 1.5GHz powers the Nexus 4. Both the processors are quite powerful and provide a speedy performance to the respective devices.
Display
The HTC One X+ sports a 4.7-inch super LCD 2 capacitive touchscreen with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution and 312 ppi, whereas, the Nexus 4 features a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus capacitive touchscreen with 768 x 1280 pixels resolution and slightly increased pixels density of 318 ppi.
Form Factor
The HTC One X+ measures 5.29 x 2.75 x 0.35 inch and weighs 4.76 ounces. The Nexus 4 is marginally thicker and measures 5.27 x 2.70 x 0.36 inch. At 4.90 ounces it is a bit heavier than the HTC One X+.
Operating System
The HTC One X+ runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean whereas; the Nexus 4 comes pre-loaded with the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Camera
Both HTC One X+ and Nexus 4 are equipped with an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus and LED flash. The HTC One X+ has an enhanced 1.6-megapixel front-facing camera when compared to the 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera of the Nexus 4.
Storage
The Nexus 4 is offered in 8/16GB on-board storage versions while the HTC One X+ is available in 16/32GB internal storage options. Expanding the memory using a microSD card is not supported in either of the smartphones.
The HTC One X+ has 1GB RAM while the Nexus 4 has 2GB RAM.
Battery
Both the smartphones have 2100mAh battery. The HTC One X+ offers up to 12 hours 45 minutes of talk time and Nexus 4 offers 15 hours of talk time.
Price
The price of the unlocked version of HTC One X+ in the U.S. is not known. Google released the Nexus 4 on Tuesday, Nov. 13, with a price tag of $299 and $349 for its 8GB and 16GB versions, respectively.
