Leaks and spoilers before a device's official launch have become commonplace. After leaking the images of the Droid DNA before its release, the folks @evleaks are at it again, this time they have leaked an image of the ZTE Grand X Pro.
However, no information regarding the specifications and feature details of the device are available. The Pro moniker, however, suggests that this smartphone would be an upgrade of some sort perhaps to the original Grand X or a variant of the Grand X LTE, which ZTE revealed earlier this year.
The original Grand X sports a 4.3-inch display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. It has a dual-core 1.2 GHz Tegra 2 CPU and 512 MB of RAM, and runs on Android 4.0 ICS. It is possible that the Grand X Pro would be an improvement on this version.
Additionally, ZTE also unveiled its Grand X LTE in June this year and a possibility exists that the leaked press render could be a variant of the same. The Grand X LTE or T82 ZTE claims is the first single-chip LTE handset in the world. It features a 4.3 inch display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution, a1.5 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM and will run on Android 4.0 ICS. A possibility exists that ZTE could be looking at tweaking features of this smartphone to give consumers a new variant.
The leaked image courtesy @evleaks hints at a bigger screen possibly (4.5 to 5 inches), smaller bezels, cleaner lines, and a volume button on the side of the device.
With the CES and MWC around the corner, it is possible that the Grand X Pro may be a part of the China-based ZTE's 2013 portfolio of devices and not slated for the 2012 holiday season.
