Braven has announced the Braven 570, its new portable Bluetooth speaker slated to go on sale on Sunday, Dec. 16, with an attractive $100 price tag.
The speaker itself has a number of good features, but the most distinguishing characteristic is the array of colors in which the unit is available.
Customers can choose to purchase a Braven 570 portable Bluetooth speaker in Lunar Black, Sahara Red, Monaco Blue, Rio Purple, Fiji Green, and Arctic White. Perhaps the most appealing feature, however, is the gadget's integrated power reserve, which can be charged and used for emergency smartphone charging. This power reserve works with any smartphone that supports Bluetooth, including the iPhone and Android handsets.
"Joining its counterparts in BRAVEN's Six Series, this speaker is small, lightweight, and pairs with any Bluetooth-equipped Android or Apple smartphone to provide incredible sound," touted the company in its announcement.
The colorful Braven 570 targets the budget-conscious music lovers, aiming to deliver quality sound for a reasonable price. The 570 offers 10 hours of play time, it connects via Bluetooth up to 33 feet away, and has six watts of power packed in an impact-resistant polymer exterior. The 1200mAh battery power bank allows users to charge their phones via USB even while they stream. Meanwhile, an internal microphone provides speakerphone functionality as well.
"We designed the 570 to appeal to a different audience than we've ever reached before," explained Braven CEO Warren Osborn. "With the bright, colorful options and new exterior, the 570 is an important part of expanding our line to offer a high-quality BRAVEN Bluetooth speaker that matches any style, need, or cost."
Bundled with a power adapter, the new Braven 570 portable Bluetooth speaker goes up to $129.99, but QVC will start offering the device with a $99.96 price tag on Dec. 16. According to the company, orders will ship to customers by Christmas. Meanwhile, the lively speakers will also hit brick and mortar stores, but not until January 2013, and not in such a colorful range of options. The units available in stores will be in black or white, and will sell at regular price, i.e. $129.99.
