Samsung Galaxy S3 owners on U.S. Cellular will welcome the news that the carrier is finally rolling out the much-awaited Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update from Friday, Dec. 21.
The long overdue Android 4.1 Jelly Bean software update for Galaxy S3 from U.S. Cellular would bring a host of new features users' way. The update will be pushed out over-the-air (OTA) and in phases. Alternately, users can also get the update via Samsung Kies software.
Just last week, Verizon started pushing out the Jelly Bean software update for its variant of the Galaxy S3. Other major U.S. carriers like Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T have already rolled out the update for their variants, with Sprint being the first carrier to do so.
U.S. Cellular may be the last to offer its Galaxy S3 users the software update, but users will still welcome the upgrade as it brings to the table a slew of enhancements and improvements to the OS. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update brings camera enhancements users' way, including new live camera and camcorder filters. Users also have the option to pause and resume while recording videos. What's more, there's even a new low light photo mode.
U.S. Cellular's Galaxy S3 will also offer enhancements like Google Now, improved usability, Swype keyboard, automatic widget adjustments etc.
Since the update will be rolled out in stages, it could take a while before the Android 4.1 software upgrade reaches all users.
With the update around the corner, Galaxy S3 users on U.S. Cellular can finally smile!
