One of the most popular discussions on different threads across the web is regarding the possible details, which include date of release as well as specifications, of the heavily rumored Samsung Galaxy S4. Now, per reports, new rumors suggest that the Android-based smartphone could arrive in mid-2013, more specifically, this February.
This is the newest development to a possible Galaxy S4 story after a host of sites rumored that the Samsung Galaxy S4 will be equipped with unbreakable screen, and that the device will finally come true to Samsung’s long-term efforts in the research and manufacture of flexible AMOLED screen.
While some Samsung Galaxy S3 users are already complaining on the slow rolling out Android Jelly Bean updates since launch, there are high chances that Samsung will try to avoid such a debacle from happening yet again in the near future, and will launch the Galaxy S4 with Key Lime Pie right out of the box.
While this, yet again, is just a speculation, there are high chances of this happening considering that it has already been confirmed that the next generation Android refresh will be Key Lime Pie. However, doubts may creep in yet again if the new Android refresh will be readily available for use in a smartphone of if it will be ported to a tablet first by Google.
More reports claim that both the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 will arrive with flexible OLED 1080p HD displays. A Samsung representative also explained to PC Advisor as to what this technology means for smartphone users.
“Foldable, rollable, wearable and more, [and] will allow for a high degree of durability through their use of a plastic substrate that is thinner, lighter and more flexible than… conventional LCD technology,” noted the representative.
More rumors claim that flexible displays will provide a tidy manufacturing savings for all display manufacturers. However, per an Inquisitr report, it is “probably doubtful that Samsung and its competitors will lower the prices to compensate, so this means their smartphones, phablets, and tablets will be have a higher profit margin.”
Currently, the technical specifications indicate that the Galaxy S4 will feature a 5-inch full HD Super AMOLED screen (1920 x 1080 resolution) , a quad-core Cortex-A15 processor, and a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera. The device may also have an Exynos 5450 Quad chipset.
