Samsung recently announced the Galaxy Grand smartphone and now the rumor mill is working overtime again and points to a new device, dubbed the Galaxy Frame, that is waiting in the wings. The purported Galaxy Frame is expected to make an appearance at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013 in Barcelona, in February.
For the uninitiated, the MWC is one of the biggest trade events for the tech industry. In the past, Samsung has taken to the MWC to unveil and announce some of its upcoming smartphones.
According to a SamMobile report, the mid-range Samsung Galaxy Frame handset will be unveiled at this year's MWC.
SamMobile has got wind of a mid-range handset currently going by the name Samsung Galaxy Frame, though little else is known yet other than the model number: GT-S6810.
"The Galaxy Frame will be introduced by Samsung at Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona and the device is expected to hit the shops at the end of the first quarter of 2013," noted the SamMobile report.
The SamMobile report did not cite any specific source and only revealed the model number of the device - GT-S6810. No other details or specification of the device are currently known; however, a likelihood exists that the Galaxy Frame could have similar specifications to the Galaxy Mini or Galaxy Ace, and could replace the alleged follow-ups to i.e. Galaxy Mini 2 and Galaxy Ace 2.
The report, however, let on that the Galaxy Frame will be unveiled in Pearl White initially.
"In the first place the Galaxy Frame will come only in the color Pearl White. We expect the specifications to be around the same level as Galaxy Ace or Galaxy Mini," reported SamMobile.
With the MWC around the corner, the spate of leaks and rumors are likely to gather more steam as the event date nears. It remains to be seen if Samsung unveils the purported Galaxy Frame at the event.
