LG has announced an impressive lineup of audio and video devices on Christmas day, Dec. 25, just in time to add some more holiday cheer.

LG's new A/V lineup includes models of surround systems, sound bars, net-connected 3D Blu-ray players, as well as docking and portable speakers.

The new range of products includes the BH9430PW 9.1-channel speaker system, NB4530A Sound Bar, BP730 Blu-ray player with Smart TV features, the ND8630 Dual Docking Speaker, and the NP6630 Portable Speaker. The official launch will take place next month in Las Vegas, at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013.

"A home theater system is much more than just a TV and speakers; it's a comprehensive package," explained Havis Kwon, President and CEO of LG's Home Entertainment Company, in the press release. "LG offers superb audio and video products to help consumers realize a truly immersive home cinema experience. By implementing advanced technologies, smart connectivity and control, LG will continue to be a leader in the audio visual segment in 2013."

LG's new high-end Home Theater System, the BH9430PW, reportedly rivals the quality of actual cinema theater audio. The 9.1 surround system sports Aramid (a Kevlar-based material) fiber cones , front tallboy and wireless satellite speakers, and four additional mid-range channels.

Moreover, the Private Sound Mode feature allows users to stream audio over a Wi-Fi connection to their smartphone and listen through earbuds. Users can also mirror content from NFC-enabled devices, as well as Apple phones and tablets. The system also includes Smart TV functionality, allowing users to browse the Web and access streaming content even without an LG television set. The three other models pack combinations of these features.

In terms of sound bars, LG now offers four models of 2.1 sound systems designed to deliver strong audio without taking up too much space. Depending on the model, the bars pack 40 to 310W speakers. The premium model, the NB4530A, is just 1.38-inch tall, with a wall- or stand-mountable profile optimized for 47-inch class screens. They also pack HDMI with Audio Return Channel (HDMI ARC) ports, as well as Bluetooth connectivity for streaming audio from mobile devices. In an interesting twist, it is the NB3730A model, not the NB4530A, that offers streaming content from Netflix, Pandora, and vTuner.

Meanwhile, LG's new premium 3 Blu-ray Player, the BP370, packs dual-core processors, Video on Demand content from Netflix, Hulu Plus, and Pandora, Web browsing through its Smart TV capabilities, plays Blu-ray discs, and even offers NFC-based content mirroring.

Lastly, LG also has something in line for those looking for speakers without the attached TV. The ND86 Dual Docking Speaker, for instance, can connect with both iOS and Android devices, blasting music through 80W speakers while also charging the connected device. The dock also supports AirPlay and Bluetooth, and can automatically recognize and queue music wirelessly from nearby mobile devices. To make the music listening experience even smoother, the dock also has a Mood Lamp option that pours out soft ambient light. The company is also offering a new portable speaker option, the 20W NP6630, which supports NFC, AirPlay, and Bluetooth.
