The holiday shopping season may be coming to a close but the festive fervor is still in the air, and consumers are still being lured by great bargains and deals that are on offer. To celebrate the festive season, Canadian carrier SaskTel is offering the 4G LTE BlackBerry PlayBook (16GB version) for just $49.99 as part of its Boxing Week Specials.
The BlackBerry PlayBook from Research In Motion (RIM) has been highly underrated since its release in August this year and the tablet has seen prices drop to as low as $99 for the 16GB variant.
However, the current deal from carrier SaskTel is possibly the lowest ever. Those interested can buy the 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB versions of the tablet for $49.99, $79.99, or $99.99, respectively.
The BlackBerry PlayBook sports a 7-inch LCD Multi-touch capacitive touchscreen with 1024 x 600 pixels resolution. The tablet measures 7.6 x 5.1 x 0.40 inches and weighs 0.9lbs. A 1.5GHz dual-core processor (cellular + Wi-Fi version) or a 1GHz dual core processor (Wi-Fi version) powers the tablet. The BlackBerry PlayBook has 1GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 3-megapixel front-facing camera.
The SaskTel offer is valid from Dec. 26 to Dec. 31, 2012 while stocks are available. The offer is available for both new customers and existing ones who subscribe to the carrier's three-year voice and data contract, and is not inclusive of applicable taxes.
The BlackBerry PlayBook deal is valid only in-store and since "limited quantities" are available, interested buyers should hurry to their nearest SaskTel store to avail of the offer.
