The Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2013) at Las Vegas is barely a week away and Samsung has already released a video teaser of its Smart Hub TV to be showcased at the event.

The world's biggest technology fair, CES, will get a taste of Samsung's new smart TV platform, known as Smart Hub. The Smart Hub will bring TV shows and films to the viewers but at the same time, users can also use apps, social networks, music, and more on the television.

The video teaser of the Smart Hub starts with a newspaper which reads "Samsung unveils its new TV first at CES 2013." It then shows that TV's are missing from living rooms and stores and are walking towards some unknown destination. The video continues with a welcome to Las Vegas board and shows that TV sets are gathering in front the CES 2013 venue.

The teaser ends with a TV draped in a white curtain, obviously the Samsung Smart Hub, which lights up from inside with hardly any bezels visible.

"2013 Smart Hub will be able to provide the variety of owning five TV's just with one device. This would provide more convenience to the user experience of smart contents such as live TV or app," said Seonwoo Lee, Vice President of Media Strategy Marketing Team.

Per the Samsung Tomorrow blog, the user interface of the Television will be split up into five categories: On TV (live TV), Movies and TV Shows (video on-demand), Apps, Social, and Photos, Videos & Music.

Users can navigate the menu using a new way called 'Flipping' function.

"One of the most anticipated features is the "Flipping" function that allows you to browse through the five screens with Samsung's unique motion control function. It might remind you of flipping through the pages of a book, and it provides you an easy way to select your program of choice more easily and with more fun. Just by accessing Smart Hub, you can enjoy all the contents of live TV, movie, internet, and games all in one place," noted the Samsung Tomorrow blog.

CES 2013 is just around the corner and other major players like LG and Sony are also expected to display their latest TVs. It will be interesting to see if the Samsung Smart Hub is able to steal the limelight from its rivals.
