Research In Motion (RIM) is officially launching its BlackBerry 10 devices on Jan. 30, 2013 and, BlackBerry fans will be happy to know that recently, a BlackBerry Device with AT&T support went through FCC's approval list.
FCC has given its thumbs up to a mysterious BlackBerry 10 (BB10) device with the "RFF91LW" model number, running on AT&T's LTE and GSM bands, as well as a few international frequencies.
Many images of BlackBerry 10 N-series have been surfacing online and the model number RFF91LW could be one of them. RIM will officially launch the much-awaited BB10 operating system along with a series of handsets on Jan. 30.
"In building BlackBerry 10, we set out to create a truly unique mobile computing experience that constantly adapts to your needs. Our team has been working tirelessly to bring our customers innovative features combined with a best in class browser, a rich application ecosystem, and cutting-edge multimedia capabilities. All of this will be integrated into a user experience - the BlackBerry Flow - that is unlike any smartphone on the market today," said Thorsten Heins, President and CEO of RIM.
BlackBerry smartphones, at one point, were among the most popular smartphones around, but lost a major chunk of its market share to competitors like Apple and Samsung. The launch of BB10 and latest BB10 handsets will determine the future of the company.
BlackBerry's launch event is still a month away from now and, therefore, it's possible that more information will be released about the mysterious device during this time. The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2013 is less than a week away and will see the launch of many smartphones. And, we won't be surprised if a BB10 device turns up at the event.
