In the last week of 2012, there had been so many rumors about Samsung's next flagship model Galaxy S4. Many reports suggested that the new device has got the model numbers GT-I9500 and GT-I9505 (LTE version).
At the same time, many reports, including from South Korea indicated towards the device coming with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
Looking at most of the rumors cropping up from different sources, Samsung Galaxy S4 looks fine with all the given rumored specification. In fact, a Russian website has already compiled a video showing how the device will look and feel like.
However, when it comes to the operating system, reports contradict each other. If the device will have the numbers GT-I9500 and GT-I9505, the latest reports of Samsung's Tizen-based product to be showcased at MWC 2013 put the OS part in question.
"SamMobile just received the first model numbers of Samsung's new high-end device. The Samsung GT-I9500 and GT-I9505 (probably LTE version). We know that Samsung's first TIZEN developer device is using GT-I9500 as its model number which could mean TIZEN is close to come," SamMobile had reported.
Tizen is a Linux-based operating system backed by Samsung and Intel. Reports about Tizen say that the phone based on the latest OS will appear under Samsung's brand somewhere in first half of 2013, at the same time Galaxy S4 is also rumored to make appearance.
Other rumors suggest that the successor of Samsung Galaxy S3 will feature an S-pen stylus, and will be 9.1 mm in thickness.
According to a Korean Web site Enuri, the Galaxy S4 will come with a 5 inch AMOLED display, which according to a Russian website Rozetked, will be called 'Grand AMOLED Display'.
The phone will also be equipped with a full HD 1080×1920 resolution, quad-core processor, a frequency of 2.0 MHz, and a 13-megapixel camera.
The biggest rumored feature of the new phone is the laser keyboard. Though the technology is in use for some years, it has not been implemented in any smartphone so far.
Though all the points about the Samsung Galaxy S4 are rumored, the latest device under the Galaxy flagship is quite unlikely to run on Tizen.
As Tizen is a new operating system, Samsung will not take the risk of putting its best model on that. One more point that makes the speculation wrong is that Tizen-based device is slated for MWC launch, but for Galaxy S4 Samsung will organize a different and exclusive launch program.
