Samsung and Apple are always going head-to-head as far as smartphones are concerned. While the debate raged on with before and after the release of the popular Galaxy S3 and iPhone 5, the same has already started with the heavily rumored Galaxy S4 and iPhone 6, respectively.
While comparisons have already started between the two, the fact here is that nothing clearly is known about these next generation smartphones with different kinds of rumors arriving almost every day.
New reports have claimed that the iPhone 6 will feature a "Super HD" screen display and camera that will be beyond the Full HD displays in HTC Droid DNA. This was previously backed by Jefferies stock analyst Peter Misek, who stated that "the iPhone 5S/6 has a new 'super HD camera/screen, a better battery, and NFC,' and 'possible updates include an IGZO screen for Retina+, 128GB storage."
The Samsung Galaxy S4, on the other hand, could boast a massive 5-inch display which introduces it into the Galaxy Note-styled phablet category. It is also said to have a 13 megapixel rear camera, a bigger battery and the new EXYNOS 5440 quad-core processor, which will make the device thicker.
Nonetheless, both are highly anticipated, to say the least, and here is a comparison to show what is known as of now and what is rumored.
Screen: The Samsung Galaxy S4 is said to sport 5-inches Super AMOLED touchscreen with 1080x1920 pixel resolutions. Several other rumors say that the S4 could also be equipped with flexible screen displays. The upcoming iPhone 6, on the other hand, is also speculated to arrive with a 5-inch Full HD display.
Camera: The exact megapixel of iPhone 6's camera is still unknown but rumor doing rounds on the Internet state that the device will have a super HD camera. In comparison, the Galaxy S4 is said to arrive with a 13 megapixel rear camera.
Operating System: Although nothing can be said surely, as far as the device operating systems are concerned, Samsung Galaxy S4 is rumored to run the upcoming version of the Android called Key Lime Pie or even the new mobile software TIZEN OS. Apple's iPhone 6, however, on the other hand, is speculated to run with iOS 7.
Processors: While the Galaxy S4, as most Web sites state, is said to arrive with 8-core processor paired with 2GB RAM, the next iPhone is also speculated to be powered by a next generation A6 chip.
Storage (Internal): This category is expected to remain the same with the Galaxy S4 expected to have 16GB, 32GB and 64GB worth of internal storage with expected additional storage via microSD slot. The iPhone 6, comparatively, is said to offer a 128GB avatar as well.
Miscellaneous: Both devices are expected to arrive with support for 4G/LTE connectivity and NFC (Near Field Communication). All eyes will be on the next iPhone if the Cupertino-based company will finally introduce the NFC technology. This will be a major deciding factor following Apple's decision of not including the technology in the previous iPhone 5 that casted an image in the number of iPhone 5 sales.
