Ever wondered how the iOS 6 would fare against RIM's latest BlackBerry 10 (BB10) OS? Well, now you have the chance to watch the two ecosystems in action as the iPhone 5 and BlackBerry Z10 face off in a comparison video.
If you're thinking how this is possible, considering the BlackBerry Z10 hasn't been officially unveiled, the folks at TelekomPresse, an Austrian Web site, got hold of a pre-production model of the yet-to-be-released BlackBerry Z10 and pitted it against the iconic iPhone.
The video is seven minutes long and shows the iPhone 5 and BlackBerry Z10 lock horns. Viewers are treated to a quick walkthrough of how the two smartphones measure up against each other in this head-to-head challenge.
"The BlackBerry Z10 has what it takes to offer the iPhone 5 in its strongest markets Paroli. In the video below, we compared some of the key design features together. The Z10, which we compare here is a pre-production model, but pretty sure the final design very similar, if not ident and it is definitely still in a beta version," noted TelekomPresse (translated).
TelekomPresse takes viewers through the BlackBerry 10 OS' voice controlled feature which competes with Siri, and is a first for RIM. One also gets to see how the notifications in the BlackBerry Hub compare against the alerts in iOS 6, Twitter, the browser etc. The video also shows off BB10's multitasking, app switching, app drawer features, as well as business and home profiles.
The video suggests that RIM's upcoming BB10 OS is a heady mix of iOS and Android, incorporating some unique features along the way.
Additionally, even though the BB Z10 seems to be running beta software, it seems to be quite fast and even betters the iPhone 5 in some scenarios.
RIM is slated to take the wraps off the 4.2-inch BlackBerry Z10 at a press conference on Jan. 30. Check out how the iPhone 5 and BlackBerry Z10 stack up against each other in the video below.
