The HTC M7 is expected to be HTC's next flagship smartphone and the successor to the HTC One X. A new leaked video claims to show the front and back casing of the upcoming device as well as a dedicated camera button.
HTC is rumored to announce the HTC M7 at Mobile World Congress in February or during a separate media event on Feb. 19 in London. The HTC M7 is believed to feature a 4.7-inch 1080p 468ppi (pixels per inch) SoLux display, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean with HTC Sense 5, a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, 4G LTE and HSPA+ radios, 32GB internal storage, 2GB of RAM, 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, 2-megapixel front-facing camera, Beats Audio, IR Port (for universal remote capabilities), and a 2,300 mAh battery.
In a new video, etradesupply shows off the front and back casing of the upcoming smartphone. The video shows the device will share a similar squared off design like Verizon's Droid DNA and will also be HTC's first Android smartphone with a dedicated camera button. The camera button can be seen on the right edge of the device and below the volume rocker in the video.
The flagship smartphone will reportedly be offered as an exclusive device on three of the major carriers in the U.S. Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint are all expected to begin selling the smartphone when it officially launches. The device is also expected to be the first HTC device to ship with the company's latest version of its HTC Sense overlay it uses on top of Android.
HTC Sense 5 appears to take on a more minimalistic design compared to previous versions of Sense. There have been no rumors of an expected price for the flagship smartphone but the usual $199 with a new 2-year contract seems plausible. We should know all the official details in a few weeks. Stay tuned.
