Samsung is definitely planning something big for the Mobile World Congress (MWC). In yet another case of inflating the hype, a handful of User Agent profiles reveals that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 series is expected to come in three versions.
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Tab 3 models have apparently appeared on the AnTuTu benchmark which confirmed that the model numbers to be GT-P3200, GT-P5200 and GT-P8200, TechKiddy reports. While GT-P3200 is speculated to be a 7-inch Galaxy tablet, P5200 is possibly the Galaxy Note 8.0, and GT-P8200 is rumored to be model number of Galaxy Tab 3 Plus.
GT-P8200 is powered by 1.7Ghz Dual Core ARM Cortex-A15 (Samsung Exynos 5 Dual) and runs on Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. This is the same processor that powers the Nexus 10. The Galaxy Tab 3 Plus (with model number GT-P8200) comes with a 10-inch display with 2560 x 1600 resolution matching up with Nexus 10's sharp 2,560 x 1,600 display. Citing unnamed sources, TechKiddy said the GT-P8200 model's specifications are almost same as that of Nexus 10.
According to an Engadget report, all the three models will soon join the Galaxy Tab family. The GT-P3200 model is said to be an entry-level slab which will possibly feature a 1,024 x 600 resolution display while GT-P5200 will apparently have a 1,280 x 800 resolution and may come with the S Pen functionality.
It should be noted that Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 Plus has scored a total of 13,377 points in the benchmark test while Nexus 10 could not cross the 9,000 points mark. Samsung is expected to unveil the tablet at the MWC.
