As the MWC 2013 draws nearer, rumors surrounding Nokia's next Windows Phone are gathering momentum. The Finnish company has scheduled a press event for Feb. 25, and speculations are rife that Nokia may announce the mystery Lumia 1000 smartphone at the event.
Per reports, the alleged Lumia 1000 could possibly be the rumored 41-megapixel Nokia Lumia EOS smartphone, which borrows the PureView camera technology from the Symbian-based Lumia 808, and the smartphone has now popped up on the China Mobile database.
"The Lumia 1000 has now allegedly been entered into an official China Mobile database, the world's largest carrier, and is leaving us wonder whether it will be an international version of the US-bound Lumia EOS, or something altogether different," reported Phone Arena.
The Lumia 1000 was spotted on the carrier China Mobile database by MobileGeeks.de, and the site hints at a MWC 2013 release.
"Now we have a database of China Mobile, the Nokia Lumia discovered 1000 and even if it this approximately zero point zero is more, it confirms at least the existence of this platform and lets speculate us thus whether as the Lumia 1000 not already been at MWC be seen in Barcelona," noted MobileGeeks.de (translated).
The image of the database shared by the site seems to confirm the existence of the Lumia 1000. With the MWC just two weeks away, come Feb. 25, we will know what aces Nokia has up its sleeve. Whether the Lumia 1000 will make an appearance at the event is anybody's guess.
