If you're a T-Mobile customer waiting to get your hands on the BlackBerry Z10, you'll be happy to know T-Mobile is looking to be the first U.S. carrier to offer the Z10 "out of the gate".
T-Mobile is looking forward to the BlackBerry Z10 and is pushing to be the first U.S. carrier to begin offering the smartphone to its customers. In an interview Frank Sickinger, head of business sales at T-Mobile USA told Bloomberg:
" The device is more stable than we anticipated, If we are able to speed up the launch date, we will do that. Right now it's looking like mid-March. I'm glad to see BlackBerry launch a relevant product, BlackBerry stands to do very well in 2013 with T-Mobile"
This is great news for BlackBerry as it shows that there is serious interest from carriers and customers in obtaining its next-generation BlackBerry 10 smartphone. The smartphone is already on sale in the UK and Canada and initial sales are proving to be very strong. Some retail stores completely sold out of the BlackBerry Z10 within hours of it going on sale. The smartphone has also received favorable reviews from technology critics, which is sure to strengthen demand for the device.
T-Mobile wants to be the first carrier in the U.S. to begin selling the BlackBerry Z10 "out of the gate" and knows by being the first carrier to offer the device it could potentially see new subscribers switch to its network from AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint. All four carriers in the U.S. have pledged to offer the BlackBerry Z10 for $199 with a new 2-year contract. T-Mobile has been the only carrier to offer an expected release date for the smartphone and from the interview, it sounds like it is determined to be the first U.S. carrier to do so.
