Fans of the Nexus 7 in Japan will soon be able to lay their hands on the 32GB version of the Wi-Fi +3G-enabled tablet. Reports suggest that the ASUS-made Nexus 7 tablet will be releasing in Japan on Saturday, Feb. 9
According to Japan-based publication Impress Watch, even though the 32GB Nexus 7 will hit the shelves on Saturday, the pricing is not yet confirmed. However, speculations are rife that the 32GB variant of the Nexus 7 will cost 29,800 yen (approximately $318).
"ASUSTek Computer (ASUS) will release on February 09, the 3G-enabled version of the Android tablet "Nexus 7" 7-inch display. But open price, the retail price is expected to be around 29 800 yen," reported Japanese site Impress Watch (translated).
Apart from the fact that it has 3G support and a micro-SIm slot, this variant of the Nexus 7 isn't much different from the Wi-Fi only model. The Nexus 7 tablet sports a 7-inch display (1280 x 800 pixels resolution), 32GB of on-board storage, a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, NFC, and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Even though the 32GB Nexus 7 is slated to go on sale from Feb. 9, given the popularity of Google's Nexus line-up and the past record, chances are that stocks may run out soon. Hopefully, unlike the Nexus 4 fiasco, ASUS and Google would have kept this factor in mind and will have plenty of inventory to go around.
Will you pick up this variant of the Nexus 7 on release or would rather wait for the rumored Nexus 7.7 tablet instead?
