Though an official word on the release of the most-awaited Samsung smartphone, Galaxy S4 is yet to come, it's expected that the company will take the wraps off the device sometime in next two months. Meanwhile, new information on Samsung plans have confirmed the release date and a few other major specifications of the Galaxy S4 including its Android version, processor, RAM, and display.
As the trustworthy Samsung source Sam Mobile reports, the Galaxy S4 smartphone will feature a 4.99-inch Full HD display (1920X1080 resolution), an Exynos 5440 quad-core processor and will have 2 GB of RAM. The device will run on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and is scheduled for a March release. The details have been pushed out by Android.Caotic.It that managed to get access to a Korean document that apparently had the Galaxy S4 specs listed out.
The leaked specs go in line with whatever we have heard so far, although there have been varying reports involving different processors said to be coming on the device. Previous reports suggested that Samsung may feature a 1.9GHz Qualcomm processor on its flagship smartphone or may outfit the device with its beefy Exynos 5 Octa eight-core chipset.
According to the latest information, Samsung Galaxy S4 will mostly be released on March 15 and the device will go on sales from the beginning of April in two colors, white and black.
The other heavily rumored features include a 13 megapixel rear-facing camera capable of shooting 1080p Full HD Videos at 30FPS and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera capable of shooting 720p HD Videos.
According to a recent benchmark listing, a Samsung Galaxy S4 device has appeared, possibly the Verizon version of the handset, on the NenaMark 2 benchmarking Web site. The model number was shown as SCH-I545 and the device was featuring a 1,920 x 1,080 Full HD screen and a 1.9 GHz processor as previously reported.
