Reports of Samsung announcing the Galaxy S4 have mentioned many different dates but the latest report has some credibility to its claim. Eldar Murtazin, the editor in chief of Mobile-Review, has a great track record regarding information on upcoming mobile devices. His latest tweets reveal a message that says:
"Save the date for a big announcement - March 14 :) And keep silence ;) HTC will miss HTC One sales again :( Like it was in 2012."
While he makes no mention of the Samsung Galaxy S4, he makes it pretty clear it's what he's talking about. When he mentions that HTC will miss HTC One sales again he is referring to how HTC announced its HTC One X in February 2012 but didn't ship the smartphone until after Samsung announced the Galaxy S3 smartphone.
HTC's smartphones were well received by technology critics but by the time it shipped the HTC One X smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S3 had already been announced, causing potential HTC One X customers to put off buying the HTC smartphone and waiting for the Galaxy S3 to be released. If HTC doesn't bring its latest smartphones to market sooner than it did last year, it will almost certainly face the same fate. Murtazin's tweet implies that will be the case again.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is expected to feature a 4.99-inch 440 ppi (pixels per inch) Full HD Super AMOLED display, 1.8GHz 8-core Exynos 5 Octa processor, a 13-megapixel rear camera, 4G LTE radio, 2GB of RAM, a microSD slot, wireless charging capabilities and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
If the rumors are true, in a little over a month,we will get to see what Samsung has in store for its 2013 flagship smartphone that it hopes will be even a bigger success than the already hugely successful Galaxy S3.
