The Sony Xperia ion has one of the sharpest screens found on a smartphone thanks in part to Sony's Mobile Bravia Engine. The screen is crisp and bright and will allow you to experience the Web, movies and more on its 4.6-inch HD Reality Display. The screen has excellent viewing angles, sharp text and great color fidelity. Sony is an expert when it comes to cameras on smartphones; even Apple uses Sony's 8-megapixel camera in the iPhone 5. You'll find a 12-megapixel camera on the Xperia ion and if that's not impressive enough, the camera features a 3D sweep panorama mode, a 16x digital zoom and full 1080p HD video capture. Sony prides itself on the quality of its cameras and the Xperia ion will not disappoint.
The Sony Xperia ion ships with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but Sony has confirmed the smartphone will receive Android 4.1 Jelly Bean by April. AT&T is offering the Sony Xperia ion for $0.99 with a new two-year contract through its online store and in its retail stores. If you purchase the smartphone through AT&T's online store, it is offering free overnight shipping.
