The Evad3rs folks seem to be working hard to release timely updates to address a number of performance-related bugs that have emerged ever since the arrival of iOS 6 untethered jailbreak evasi0n.

The team has released evasi0n version 1.5, hardly a week after the release of version 1.4, addressing issues related to the boot-up time of jailbroken devices. The latest update is now available in the jailbreak's official Web site.

Apart from an update to improve the boot-up time, evasi0n 1.5 also comes with an updated Cydia package list. This updated package brings in version 0.4-1 to resolve intermittent boot issues with some jailbroken devices and will be automatically loaded onto your device during the jailbreak process. "This package allows your iOS 6.0, 6.0.1, 6.0.2, 6.1, 6.1.1, or 6.1.2 device to reboot by itself without requiring an external tool," said the release note," the release note said.

It's not essential to re-jailbreak your iDevice if you are not experiencing any issues with your current version of evasi0n. However, if your device is among those affected ones, it's highly recommended that you visit Cydia and upgrade the evasi0n untether package. You can also download evasi0n 6.0-6.1.2 Untether version 0.4-1 here. If you want to improve the boot-up time of your iOS device, you should restore your device in iTunes and jailbreak it again with evasi0n v1.5.
