The clock is slowly ticking down to March 14, the day Samsung will officially unveil the Galaxy S4 Android-based smartphone. Even as the date nears, new leaks begin to trickle in, along with new information on the specifications of the device.
The new leak came about on Twitter via the ever reliable EVLeaks. The images show what appears to be a giant Samsung Galaxy S4 with its predecessors lined up behind it. The rendered image is nothing elaborate, and the final product probably won't even look like this when the handset is officially launched.
Samsung Galaxy S3 has a huge screen for a smartphone - a massive 4.8-inches - and so you might not be expecting Samsung to bump the screen size any further. Well, you're wrong. The Galaxy S4 has a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED full HD display, a screen that is very close in size to the original Galaxy Note. Furthermore, the Galaxy S4 is expected to be available in 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB models, all with an Exynos Octa 5410 CPU clocked at 1.8GHz, PowerVR SGX 544MP GPU and 2GB of RAM to ensure multitasking is a breeze.
Let's see, what else are we missing out on here. Ahh yes, the camera. This bad boy will pack a 13 megapixel sharpshooter but we've no idea if Optical Image Stabilization is part of the camera features. It would be a huge improvement over the Galaxy S3's camera if Samsung puts it there. On the operating system side of things, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is expected to power the device out of the box.
The Galaxy S4 has the markings of a true powerhouse. We would love to see how it stacks up against the HTC One and Nokia Lumia 920. Stay tuned.
