Finnish handset maker, Nokia, launched its latest duo of Windows Phone 8 devices in India. Both the Lumia 720 and the Lumia 520 are taking center stage with hopes to boost Nokia's prospects against an ever-increasing Android threat.
The most affordable of the two is the Lumia 520, which is also the most affordable Windows Phone 8 handset ahead of the Lumia 620. The Lumia 520 is one capable device, as it boasts the same camera lens found on high-end Lumia 920. There's also the addition of Nokia Music, which is free out of the box with optional premium features, and Nokia HERE maps along with a 4-inch capacitive touch screen. The expected price should be around Rs 10,500, which is relatively affordable.
Here are some of the highlighted features of the Lumia 520:
The Lumia 720 might not be of the high-end variety, but it brings to the table quite a few high-end features from the Lumia 920. The device comes packed with a capable 6.7-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture and Carl Zeiss optics. This bad boy should take some compelling photos; the only things missing are PureView camera features. The Lumia 720 is expected to hit the Rs 17,420 price point, a price that is quite affordable for what one is getting.
