The iPhone 5S is rumored to be the next big thing from Apple this year, even though there is little to nothing known of the device or even if it really exists yet. Still, that isn't enough to quell rumors, as a new one popped up recently claiming the iPhone 5S will have a 12-megapixel camera.
The current Apple iPhone 5 has one of the best cameras on any smartphone, with its 8-megapixel sharpshooter. It might not have Optical Image Stabilization and the ability to take striking low-light, like the Nokia Lumia 920 or the HTC One, but its daylight performance is right up there with the best despite, being an older phone.
A statement from Tinhte.vn could prove that Apple is taking the camera department very serious with the next version of the iPhone, as the statement claims it will have a massive 12-megapixel camera, which will be accompanied by improved low-light performance and HDR video recording. A bump in megapixel count should improve the quality of the iPhone 5S camera, and with low-light and HDR, this phone could launch with the best smartphone camera compared to the competition.
Every phone manufacturer these days chooses to cram more megapixels into smartphone devices. However, HTC has proven that more megapixels doesn't count that much, by releasing the HTC One with a 4-megapixel camera. The HTC One is perfect for those folks who only want to take images for the purpose of uploading to social networks such as Facebook and Twitter; everyone else who wants more from their camera phone, would rather go with something with a higher megapixel count.
Recent iPhone 5S rumors claim the device will launch with a super-fast A7 quad core processor and 2GB of RAM along with the same Power SGX554MP4 GPU found in the iPad 4. Other rumors suggest iOS will get a complete overhaul to represent modern times with an all new interface.
