Samsung Galaxy Note 3 To Sport First Plastic OLED Display?

Shailesh Shrivastava

As Samsung releases the Galaxy S4 smartphone, rumors about the next generation Galaxy Note samartphone have started gaining momentum.

The latest rumor about Samsung Galaxy Note 3 suggests that the smartphone is going to sport a plastic OLED display that will help Samsung in reducing the weight of the phone and create more space for other hardware like battery.

According to a SamMobile report, the new display will be thinner than what appeared in the Galaxy Note 2.  At the same time Samsung is also going to increase the size of display.

The Galaxy Note 3 is reported to be coming with a 5.9 inch of display. The body of the smartphone is going to change and it will come with a metal body. Samsung was reportedly planning to bring the aluminum body in the Galaxy S4 smartphone but for some reasons the company went ahead with the plastic body.

SamMobile, in its report, cited its sources saying that a metal prototype of the Galaxy S4 was appreciated by the developers and testers, however, supply and manufacturing issues made it impossible for the company to shift from the plastic body.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumored to be coming with a 5.9-inch Full HD display that, according to this new report, is going to be an unbreakable as it is going to a plastic OLED.

The smartphone will be powered by the eight-core Exynos 5 Octa processor with LTE supported with a 2 GB of RAM. The Galaxy Note 3 will sport a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean out of the box.

As Samsung will find more space in the cabinet of the Galaxy Note 3 as the company is shifting to a lighter and thinner display and increasing the size of the display, we can hope for a bigger and powerful battery juicing up the large smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumored to be coming in the market somewhere in the fourth quarter of this year.
