Nokia is prepping something interesting come May 14 in London, dubbed as the "Nokia Lumia Story." This event could possibly see the company officially unveil the rumored Lumia 928 and the Nokia EOS, with its 41-megapixel camera.
The Finnish handset maker sent out invitations to the press, according to Technobuffalo. The event is expected to begin at 10 a.m. and should last until 4 p.m. That's a lengthy presentation, which could mean Nokia might unveil more than just new Lumia and Asha phones; the company could potentially unveil a tablet device running either Windows RT or Windows 8 Pro.
Nokia's unannounced Lumia 928, Catwalk and EOS have been in the rumor grapevine for months; however, only the Lumia 928 rumors come off as something truly credible. So far, rumors claim the device is headed for Verizon Wireless, and the specs on the inside are similar to the Lumia 920, along with the 8.7-megapixel PureView camera. The only big difference is the design, as it comes in a more compact polycarbonate shell than the Lumia 920, which would make for a handset that is slimmer and less heavy.
And then there's the Catwalk. This handset has been confused on many occasions with the Lumia 928, but we've come to understand it is a separate device. The rumor is that Nokia will ditch the polycarbonate shell for aluminum. That's basically all that is known of this handset, except for a leaked image that is circling the Internet.
Finally, we have the Nokia EOS, the biggest and baddest of the bunch. This device is rumored to pack a similar 41-megapixel camera to the Nokia 808 PureView; the main difference here is that it runs Windows Phone 8 instead of the already dead operating system, Symbian. This device could end up being the first Windows Phone 8 handset to sport a quad core processor and a possible 2GB of RAM. The screen size and resolution should end up being the same as the Lumia 920.
