Shailesh Shrivastava

The Samsung Galaxy S4's paint job has finally been confirmed. Earlier this week, we had published a story about the Samsung Galaxy S4's arrival in the third color variant called 'Blue Arctic' and now the new color version of the smartphone has been announced by the Japanese mobile carrier Docomo.

According to a SamMobile report, "Japanse provider Docomo officially announced the Galaxy S4 Blue Arctic." However, it is not yet clear whether the handset will be exclusively available with Docomo or it will be released in other countries also after some time.

A Japanese technology blog, RBMen, had given the model number of the device as S4 SC-04E that will be available on Docomo's network.

The website had also posted the specifications of the device (given below):

* Snapdrgaon 600 1.9Ghz Quad-Core

* 5.0 inches FHD AMOLED (1920x1080)

* 2GB of RAM

* Storage capacity of 32GB (microSDXC 64GB)

* WI-Fi a / b / g / n, Bluetooth 4.0 + LE

* 13.2 million pixel camera, 2.1 million pixel camera

* 136.6 x 69.8 x 7.9mm 132g

* Android 4.2 Jelly Bean

The device number and specifications given in the report have now come true as Docomo has announced the availability of the blue smartphone.

The Docomo version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 gives something more to its users than the device that's available in other countries. It supports digital terrestrial TV broadcasts via an antenna that can be pulled out and the device also has NFC capabilities.

Docomo is going to make the Galaxy S4 smartphones available for purchase from May 23. Apart from the Blue Arctic color, the Galaxy S4 will also be available in White Frost and Black Mist versions.

The Docomo version of the Galaxy S4 will be powered by the quad-core Sanpdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7 GHz. It is a sad news for Docomo subscribers that they will not get to experience the performance of Samsung's Exynos Octa processor.
