T-Mobile has started selling the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3 with a very exciting deal in place, offering the phablet for $0 down.
Starting on Thursday, Oct. 3, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is available from T-Mobile's website, as well as its brick-and-mortar stores, for $0 upfront. Interested customers will, however, have to sign a two-year contract with the carrier and pay 24 subsequent monthly payments of $29.50 per month. Spread over two years, the cost of the handset adds up to $708.
The recently-launched Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was one of the most highly-anticipated devices of this year. It comes as the successor to the hugely-popular Galaxy Note 2 and initial excitement suggests that the new iteration will be at least as successful as its predecessor.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is a high-end Android phablet that sports a massive 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with full HD (1080p) resolution and a pixel density of 386 pixels per inch (ppi). The handset runs on the latest Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Samsung's TouchWiz UI on top.
Other specs include a powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, Adreno 330 graphics and 3GB of RAM. The Galaxy Note 3 also boasts a 13-megapixel rear camera with "smart stabilization," as well as a 2-megapixel front-facing shooter. Both cameras can record 1080p video.
The super-sized smartphone comes with 32GB of internal storage capacity and a micro SD card slot for additional memory of up to 64GB. In terms of connectivity options, the Galaxy Note 3 supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, NFC and a very popular IR blaster that turns the device into a universal remote control.
It remains unclear at this point whether the $0 down offer is a limited-time promotional deal and, if so, when it will expire. If customers who take advantage of this offer decide to cancel wireless service at some point before the two-year contract expires, the remaining balance for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 cost will become due.
