Sprint has started taking pre-orders for the new LG G2 smartphone and the carrier lists a Nov. 8 shipping date for the device.
The LG G2 is LG's latest flagship smartphone and it boasts some high-end specs and features that make it one of the best Android handsets released this year. Sprint generally has a good track record of making devices available to its customers as soon as they are launched, but this time it seems that the LG G2 will take a little while to hit the carrier's network.
"In their most advanced smartphone yet, LG has meticulously pored over every detail, each carefully selected to surpass status-quo - in luxury, functionality, innovation and intuitive design," boasts Sprint on its pre-order page for the LG G2.
"With all of the side buttons removed, the G2 not only makes way for an ultra-slim bezel with near edge-to-edge brilliance, it's also equally ergonomic for left- and right-handed users. Adding to its ambidextrous allure is an intuitively placed rear volume rocker and power keys. With a 5.2-inch 1080p full HD IPS display and that ultra-thin bezel, the screen is glorious and expansive, and its 3,000 Ah Li-ION battery will ensure hours on end of pure viewing pleasure."
The LG G2 has indeed made quite some waves with its Rear Key concept, but the smartphone also comes with plenty of other neat specs and features. For those unfamiliar with the handset, the LG G2 sports a 5.2-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and packs the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.26GHz, along with 2GB of RAM. The smartphone also comes with 32GB of internal storage capacity, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooter and a 3,000 mAh battery, running on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.
Interested LG G2 customers who would like to purchase the handset on Sprint can now pre-order the smartphone for $99 up front, with a standard two-year carrier agreement. The Sprint LG G2 is available in the standard color choices, i.e. black and white.
