Amazon is currently offering the Sprint Samsung Galaxy S4 for just $0.01 when signing a new two-year contract with the carrier, with no activation fees.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 is the company's 2013 flagship smartphone and is considered one of the best handsets currently available on the market. Samsung's entire Galaxy family of devices is extremely popular among consumers, and the high-end Galaxy S4 received great praise.
The smartphone boasts top-end specs and features that set it apart from the competition, with Samsung-exclusive goodies such as Air View, Smart Scroll and others that aim to deliver a great user experience.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 sports a 5-inch Super AMOLED display with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080, a pixel density of 441 pixels per inch (ppi) and Gorilla Glass 3 protection to make it scratch-resistant. Under the hood, the handset houses a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz and 2GB of RAM. The Galaxy S4 has 16GB of internal storage capacity and a microSD card slot for additional memory of up to 64GB.
Other specs include a high-end 13-megapixel rear camera with auto flash, zero shutter lag and full HD video recording capabilities at 30fps, as well as a 2-megapixel front camera for video calls and self-shots. In terms of wireless connectivity options, the Samsung Galaxy S4 comes with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n//ac, Bluetooth 4.0, and GPS. The smartphone also features a built-in IR blaster that allows it to serve as a universal remote control with a dedicated program guide.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box, but is upgradeable to Android 4.3. Samsung has also packed a large 2,600 mAh removable battery.
The smartphone has proved to be a great hit and is among the most popular handsets of this year, and Amazon's new deal for the Sprint version of the device will likely see plenty of takers. The retailer is offering the Sprint Galaxy S4 for just $0.01 on a new two-year contract, and has also waived activation fees. As usual, Amazon is also offering free two-day shipping. It remains unclear for how long this offer will be available, but it will likely expire soon.
