The Verizon HTC One Max is now available for its lowest price ever, as Amazon is selling the device for $99.99 on a new two-year contract.
Samsung has created a real trend by offering several spinoffs of its flagship smartphone, and HTC followed its lead. The company saw great success with its HTC One flagship and decided to milk that success by launching a HTC One Mini and a HTC One Max as well. While the smaller version comes with watered-down specs to accommodate the compact form factor and lower price tag, the One Max is quite impressive.
The HTC One Max retains all of the popular features that made the HTC One such as success, including the sleek aluminum unibody case, but boasts a massive 5.9-inch full HD display. On top of that, HTC also took a page out of Apple's playbook and launched the One Max phablet with a fingerprint scanner, similar to the iPhone 5S' Touch ID. Through this fingerprint scanner, the HTC One Max offers extra security and allows users to easily launch apps with just a swipe.
In terms of specifications, the HTC One Max packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 2GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity, and a microSD card slot for additional memory. HTC is also throwing in 50GB of free Google Drive cloud storage. Other specs include HTC's UltraPixel rear camera with full HD video recording capabilities, as well as a 2-megapixel front shooter. Connectivity options consist of 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 LE, GPS, and NFC. The handset also packs a large 3,300 mAh non-removable battery.
Verizon is currently charging a hefty $299.99 for the HTC One Max when signing a new two-year contract, but Amazon now has a better deal in place. The retailer is offering the exact same device for just $99.99 on a new two-year contract with the carrier, allowing for significant savings over Verizon's asking price. As usual, Amazon is also including free two-day shipping with the order. The smartphone appears as in stock at the time of writing, but the offer may not be available for long.
