The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on Sprint is now getting a special treat, as the latest Android 4.4 KitKat has started rolling out for the device.
Just recently, Samsung announced that it will start pushing Android 4.4 KitKat to a bunch of its popular Galaxy devices in the coming weeks, and the Sprint Galaxy Note 3 seems to be among the lucky first.
Sprint has started pushing the update to its version of the Galaxy Note 3 on Thursday, Feb. 20, and the new firmware comes with build number N900PVPUCNAB. The update weighs in at 503MB and will bring a number of new features and enhancements to the Sprint Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
Aside from the slew of goodies the new Android version brings to the table, the update will also add an enhanced user interface and stability improvements to the device. Another welcome feature is the addition of a dedicated camera shortcut on the lock screen for quicker access.

The latest Android version is now rolling out over the air (OTA) and, as Sprint itself points out, the update is rolling out in phases. This means that although it has started its journey to Galaxy Note 3 devices on the carrier's network, it may take a while for it to reach all users. According to Sprint, it can take several days for delivery.
If you have already received the update notification for your device, follow the on-screen instructions and bring your Sprint Galaxy Note 3 to the latest version of Android. If not, you can either wait for the notification to arrive, or manually check for the update's availability. To do so, go to Settings > More > About device, and check whether the update is ready for your handset.
