Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 , LG G Pad 8.3 may hit Verizon on March 6
Alexandra BurlacuThe Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and the LG G Pad 8.3 will reportedly hit Verizon's network next week, on March 6.
It's no longer a surprise that Verizon will carry the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and the LG G Pad 8.3 tablets, but the carrier has yet to offer a specific date for when the two slates will land on its network.
A new leak, however, now offers the allegedly official launch date for both tablets on Verizon Wireless. Android Police claims to have received the information via a leaked Verizon internal document, which lists the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and the LG G Pad 8.3 with a March 6 launch date for the carrier. The information may or may not turn out to be accurate, but if it is, we'll know for sure in just one week.
The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 has already hit commercial availability in the U.S., but only the Wi-Fi model is currently on sale. Verizon will be the first carrier to offer the tablet with 4G LTE connectivity, and AT&T is expected to follow afterwards.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is part of the company's latest line of top-end tablets unveiled back at CES 2014. The slate boasts a large 12.2-inch WQCGA Super Clear LCD panel and packs a powerful quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor under the hood, paired with a hefty 3GB of RAM. A 9,500 mAh battery keeps things up and running, and the tablet runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
The LG G Pad 8.3, meanwhile, is a high-end quad-core tablet competing in the 7- to 8-inch category of the tablet market. It stirred plenty of interest when it launched, and Google even made it the first tablet to join its Google Play Edition (GPE) lineup. The LG G Pad 8.3 comes with a full HD 1080p IPS LCD display, packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor clocked at 1.7GHz, and has 2GB of RAM. Other specs include 16GB of internal storage capacity, a 5-megapixel rear camera, and a 4,600 mAh battery. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 4.0.
As previously mentioned, Verizon has yet to confirm the launch dates for these two tablets, so it is advisable to take this news with a grain of salt. If the leak turns out to be accurate, the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 and the LG G Pad 8.3 will land on Verizon's network as soon as next week.
