With the release of the Samsung Galaxy J7 2016 version in April this year, may smartphone users might have been asking how it is compared to the Huawei Nexus 6P which was made available in September last year.

If someone is fond of taking photos using his or her Android handset, which unit is a better choice? How about their battery performance? Which is more stylish between the two?

These could have been some of the questions that everyone who would like to own any of the two devices would like to ask.

Let us then check on the different aspects and specifications of the two.

Camera

In terms of camera, the Samsung unit boasts of a 13MP primary camera that has built-in LED flash and features like autofocus, geo-tagging, panorama, HDR, touch focus and face detection. It also has a 5MP secondary camera.

Meanwhile, the Huawei Nexus mobile device has a 12.3MP primary camera and an 8MP secondary camera.  Its primary camera features a dual LED flash, laser autofocus, face detection, geo-tagging, touch focus, panorama and HDR.

Battery

The battery of the Huawei Nexus 6P is a little more powerful at 3450 mAh (non-removable) than that of the 2016 version of Samsung Galaxy J7's 3300 mAh (removable).

Design

In terms of display, the Samsung model is slightly smaller and lighter than the Huawei Nexus device as it only measures 151.7x76x7.8mm and weighs 170 grams, while the latter 159.3×77.8×7.3mm and weighs 178 grams.

Storage

The 2016 model of Samsung Galaxy J7's storage capacity can be expanded to 256GB via a microSD card, while Huawei Nexus 6P is available in three different storage variants: 32GB, 64GB and 128GB.

Display

Talking about display, both phones boast of AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with 16M colors. However, the Huawei Nexus unit has a slightly bigger display with better resolution.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) only has a display size of 5.5 inches, while the Huawei Nexus 6P has 5.7 inches. In terms of resolution, the former has 720 x 1280 pixels while the latter has 1440 x 2560 pixels. On top of that, the latter also has Corning Gorilla Glass 4, oleophobic coating for added protection.
