After "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" broke records, fans now have their eyes set on "Star Wars: Han Solo." However, a new report claims that the film has been moved from an initial May 2018 to a December 2018 release.

"Star Wars: Han Solo" was slated for release May 25, 2018. A new report says changes may have been applied and a similar story that happened with the launch date of "Star Wars: Episode VIII" may be told again.

According to Making Star Wars, sources close to the situation have spilled that the upcoming "Star Wars" film has been moved to a December 13, 2018 launch. Production has not yet addressed the matter officially, as of this writing, and it remains to be seen if the said holiday release will take place.

The publication emphasizes that there is no official change of date for "Star Wars: Han Solo" yet. The paperwork for the yet-to-be-titled movie says the launch date can still be changed. There could also have been mistakes with the documents, which then caused the insiders to make the drop.

Meanwhile, Variety reports that Woody Harrelson is being eyed to play the role of Han Solo's mentor in the highly anticipated spinoff. Sources told the outlet that the plan to get Harrelson onboard is still on the early stages of discussions. However, the "Hunger Games" star is currently the top choice.

It can be noted that Harrelson and co-producer Allison Shearmur have already worked together in the "Hunger Games" series, back when the latter was working with Lionsgate for the project. More details about the cast of "Star Wars: Han Solo" are expected to be revealed in the upcoming months.

So far, the stars confirmed to join the cast are Alden Ehrenreich, to play the young Han Solo, Donald Glover, playing the young Lando Calrissian, and Emilia Clarke, whose exact role has yet to be announced. However, The Hollywood Reporter says the "Game of Thrones" star was cast to play the character that Chewbacca and Han Solo will hang out with as they journey on.
