ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity owners are in for some good news, as the slate is getting an update to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Back in March, ASUS rolled out the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for the Transformer Pad, promising to release the same upgrade for Transformer Pad Infinity (TF700) in the second quarter.

As of Wednesday, April 3, ASUS seems to be making good on its promise. The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update for the Transformer Pad Infinity is already rolling out in the U.S.

"ASUS Transformer Pad Infinity owners - REJOICE!! Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is coming for ya! :D," the company officially announced in a joyous post on its Facebook page.

Android 4.2 Jelly Bean will bring some neat new features to the tablet, including system toggles, enhanced notifications, multiple user options (account login for up to four accounts), new US for ASUS IME, parental lock, as well as the ability to set Ethernet settings as default On. Other features include a new camera AP and lock screen wallpaper, ASUS screen saver in DayDream feature, new widgets, a new keyboard and improved fonts. The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean firmware update also improves general performance and makes things run smoother and faster, so this update is a pretty big deal.

While Transformer Pad Infinity owners are definitely pleased, ASUS' Facebook post soon received numerous comments from other ASUS device owners awaiting an update for their devices. ASUS made no other announcements regarding additional updates.

Transformer Pad Infinity owners who didn't get the update yet should keep checking throughout the day, as the update should roll out any time now. The Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update is on its way, but it may take some time before everyone gets it. With a little patience, all owners of this tablet should enjoy the new software version soon. To check for the update, go through the System Update menu in the Settings app and hit download if available.
