Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to debut at IFA 2014 in September?
Alexandra BurlacuMore details are surfacing about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4, as a new report now claims the device will debut this September at the IFA trade show in Berlin.
Samsung's Galaxy Note range of devices comes with high-end specs and features and a much-touted stylus functionality, and the next-generation flagship phablet is expected to be a real powerhouse more advanced than any of its predecessors.
The company has yet to announce any details regarding its Galaxy Note 4 plans, but a new report now pegs the unveiling for September. The information comes from the Korea Times, which claims to have received details from Samsung officials.
"Samsung is considering holding a launch event of the Note4 at the IFA trade fair. It is in the middle of finalizing specification details for the upcoming phablet," one official told the Korea Times by telephone.
The report further comes with more details about the possible specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. According to the publication, the Galaxy Note 4 could pack a 64-bit mobile processor, possibly from Qualcomm. The next-generation phablet is also rumored to come with a whopping 4GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage capacity, and boast a QHD display with a high resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.
The current Galaxy Note 3 flagship phablet sports a 5.7-inch display, marking a small bump in screen size compared to the Galaxy Note 2's 5.5-inch display. The Galaxy Note 4 could also sport a slightly larger screen compared to its predecessor, coming in at 5.9 or 6 inches.
The purported Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is also thought to feature a 20-megapixel rear camera with 4K Ultra HD video recording capabilities, and the device may also have the ability to display such video via HDMI.
The Galaxy Note 4 will likely launch with the latest version of Android on board. For now, that means Android 4.4 KitKat, but if Google releases a new Android version before September the phablet will probably run that OS.
It's all just speculation at this point, however, as Samsung has not announced nor confirmed anything in this regards. We'll let you know as soon as we learn more about the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, but take everything with a grain of salt until some solid evidence surfaces.
