Verizon LG G3 pre-orders now live – Pricing options & availability
Alexandra BurlacuThe LG G3 is now available on all major carriers in the U.S., as Verizon Wireless has officially kicked off pre-orders for the handset.
AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile had already announced their launch plans for the LG G3 and are taking pre-orders for the device, with Sprint exclusively offering the gold color option. Verizon is the last of the four major carriers to confirm LG G3 launch plans and is now taking pre-orders as well, ahead of a retail launch on July 17.
The LG G3 is one of the most powerful smartphones currently available on the market, as it comes packed with top-notch specs and features and boasts an amazing display.
Verizon Wireless is now offering the LG G3 for $99 when agreeing to sign a two-year service agreement, $29.99 per month with the Verizon Edge financial plan, or $599.99 outright, contract-free. The LG G3 has drawn lots of interest so far and is expected to be one of the most popular smartphones of this year.
For those unfamiliar with the device, the LG G3 boasts a top-of-the-line 5.5-inch display with a whopping QHD resolution of 2560 x 1440 and packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor clocked at 2.5GHz under the hood. Verizon is selling the higher-end variant of the LG G3, with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage capacity, as opposed to the model with 2GB of RAM and just 16GB of on-board storage.
Other specs of the LG G3 smartphone powerhouse include a high-end 13-megapixel rear camera with laser auto focus and optical image stabilization (OIS), a 2-megapixel front shooter, a 3,000 mAh battery, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth Smart Ready, NFC, and A-GPS/Glonass. On the software side, Android 4.4.2 KitKat runs the show.
The LG G3 looks and feels premium all around, and is made of a mixture of metal and plastic. LG also invested in durability, making the handset's case both scratch- and fingerprint-resistant, while Gorilla Glass 3 will protect the display.
With the gold LG G3 exclusive to Sprint, Verizon is offering the handset in black or white color options. If you're interested in getting this handset from Big Red, Verizon's LG G3 pre-order page just went live on Thursday, July 10, and shipping is set to commence next week, on July 17.
