Samsung Galaxy Note 4 clone Goophone N4 starts at $169.99
Alexandra BurlacuGoophone is at it again, this time with a knockoff of the highly-anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 4 phablet that is expected to debut on Sept. 3.
For those unfamiliar with this special company, Goophone is known for creating cheap rip-offs of popular device such as the Samsung Galaxy S5, and even the unannounced iPhone 6. A clone of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is the company's latest effort, called the Goophone N4, and it definitely doesn't look cheap.
Goophone has put significant effort into making this handset, and it even packed it with impressive specifications. In terms of design, the Goophone N4 is based on leaked images of the upcoming Galaxy Note 4.
The Goophone N4 will be available in three different versions, two of which are available on the company's website. One of these two comes with 1GB of RAM with 8GB of internal storage capacity, while the other features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage capacity.
A third version, meanwhile, has been recently spotted on a retailer's website with a Full HD 1080p display and a heftier 3GB of RAM. Other than the screen, resolution, and memory, all three variants appear to be identical. All Goophone N4 models come with dual-SIM support, which is a very popular feature in some markets, and run Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
Here's the scoop on the Goophone N4's specs: the handset comes with a 5.7-inch display with either 720p or 1080p resolution, 1GB, 2GB, or 3GB of RAM, an octa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz, 8GB or 16GB of internal storage capacity, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, and a 3,200 mAh battery to keep things up and running.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of the most highly-anticipated devices of this year and is expected to boast top-notch specs and features all around. The Goophone N4 may not fully rise to the occasion, but it nonetheless aims to offer an affordable, high-tech alternative to the real thing. The Goophone N4 will hit retail in mid-September and will cost $169.99 for the 16GB model with 8GB of storage and $199.99 for the version with 2GB of RAM, but there's no information yet regarding the price of the 3GB 1080p variant.
